About
Hailey Knight is a highly qualified and experienced musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapist. She has worked in Private Practice since 2000, obtained a Masters degrees in Sports Physiotherapy from Sydney University in 2004, and has been fortunate to work alongside some great physiotherapists and sports doctors.
There are two distinct phases of her career. The “bash and fix” phase was spent in the world of professional rugby league in Sydney, when for 5 years, she worked quickly to to get players back to match fitness. She gained a lot of experience treating traumaMc shoulder, spine and knee joint injuries, and managing recovery after orthopaedic surgery.
Interested in more that just repairing broken body parts, her attention shifted to injury prevention and optimised performance. She spent time working with NSW Institute of Sport athletes in pre-season screening assessments and gained accreditation in mat work Pilates (with Pilates International Training Centre, Ultimo) . Pilates gave her great insight into normal and dysfunctional movement patterns and a framework for rebuilding strong foundations.
Hailey joined The Physiotherapy Clinic (Bondi Junction, Sydney) in 2007, a clinic that specialised in the treatment of hip/pelvic and lower back dysfunction, and Women’s Health. She worked with endurance athletes (mainly triathletes and runners) and pre/post natal ladies, and used Real Time Ultrasound to retrain core muscle function.
Hailey was introduced to Connect Therapy (LJ Lee) in 2014, and now uses this “whole-body” approach to guide all assessment and treatment programs. Connect Therapy studies the relationship of old injuries, postural dysfunctions, and movement disorders on the development of new injuries and problems. She will help you achieve your performance goals through a combination of hands-on treatment, dry needling, exercise rehabilitation, lifestyle changes and mindset.
Hailey has had her own period of chronic ill health and musculoskeletal injury and understands how suboptimal wellness can impact all facets of life.
